Singapore! pictures to come later

I've been living in Malaysia for 4 months now. my visa is about to expire so i'm somewhat forced to go somewhere out side of Malaysia my options are singapore or thailand i opted for singapore since I had never been there.
So i'm here and I have essentially no plan. Just a bit of background research on a few hostels that i had heard of and what I've seen on tv i don't really know where i wanted to go or what i wanted to really do drinking is expensive here for a pint it's about 12 -14 or more sing dollars which US conversion is about 1-1 ratio there are inexpensive options but anywhere somewhat nice it'll be quite pricy defiantly gotta have some money to play hard here. i'm trying to lay low and see what i can see for cheap or free.

Today i spent the day hanging out with an aussie and a irishman it was a blast laughing doing crazy things at sentosa island resort very fancy place too expensive for me to truly get the most out of it but we went to universal studios singapore i haven't been to universal studios in ages and ages. i'm just having some fun letting loose a bit.
The aussie is a fun guy little dumb but i learned alot from him he's got the right idea girls like guys who play it dumb after meeting him i figured out why...oh well. i'm not gonna try to be him or change myself just change my attitude gawd why does my mind run a mile a minute i need to slow down...fuck it.

Here In malaysia

There is no code of conduct.

remeber when you were in grade school and on the walls of every class room there was the codes of conduct don't do this don't do that basic social norms that we had engrained into our minds for so long it's a part of us.

Yeah...that doesn't apply here.

Things are wacky and crazy and backwards here. Things are never in your favor even when you'd think they should be.
people give up easily here. You ask for something they will usually say they don't have it. But if you look hard enough you'll probably find what your looking for on your own. It will take some searching and time.

eg: i was in a supermarket buying booze and coke those two were in the same area then i asked for ice they said "sorry, no ice" it's a GROCERY store of course theres ice!!! 20 minutes later we found the ice and went on our merry way. But instead of saying don't know where the ice i'll call somebody who does know it's acceptable to just say no.

It's frustrating at times but i just have to say to myself you get used to it and do your business better.
